Lissabon

Porto

Algarve

Before Columbus set the record straight - Cape Sagres - located in the western tip of the Algarve, was once considered the end of the world. Today, merchants sell sea-themed souvenirs, fishermen cast their lines off the cliffs and tourists flock for breathtaking views.

Salema is the Algarve’s most preserved area. It has classic beaches, endless sun, and a traditional fishing village. There a number of seaside restaurants serving fresh seafood and plenty of vegetables. After some food the main activity is to bask in the sunshine or rest in the shade.

Portugal is a wonderful place to explore by hire car. Landelijke verkeersregels

• Mobiel bellen is uitsluitend toegestaan met gebruik van een headset of handsfree toestel.
• Gebruik de claxon binnen de bebouwde kom uitsluitend in gevaarlijke situaties.
• Als u wordt aangehouden voor een verkeersovertreding, heeft de politie het recht de bekeuring ter plekke te innen.
• Maak op de snelweg geen gebruik van de groene rijstroken. Deze zijn uitsluitend bestemd voor automobilisten die gebruik maken van een automatisch betalingssysteem voor tolwegen.

Snelheidslimiet

Snelheden worden aangegeven in km/u.

Voor een standaard huurauto van Avis zonder aanhanger geldt:

• Binnen de bebouwde kom: 50 km/u
• Buiten de bebouwde kom: 90 km/u
• Snelwegen: 120 km/u

Kindveiligheid/veiligheidsgordels

• De bestuurder en alle passagiers zijn verplicht een veiligheidsgordel te dragen.
• Voor kinderen jonger dan 12 jaar en onder de 135 cm is een kinderzitje wettelijk verplicht
• Kinderen jonger dan 12 jaar mogen niet voorin het voertuig zitten.

Let op: het is de verantwoordelijkheid van de ouder/verzorger of huurder van de auto om het juiste kinderzitje in het voertuig te hebben.
